So, you remember this post here...well this is a follow up! My sweet Reese...what are the next few decades going to look like? Well...as you know from the earlier post Reese loves her little friend Hollis from preschool! He really is adorable...blonde little curles and a cute little smile, but all of that said...Reese really loves him!
Since my previous post, almost once a week there is some story about Hollis (i.e. - the other day she told me he was the "best tickeler eva...mommy" and then proceeded to ask me if he could come and play). She told her daddy that she wanted Hollis to come over and play doctor...and she said that she only likes him...no one else...and the teachers told me that when Hollis comes in Reese's face just lights up!
All of those things...while totally innocent for a 2 year old...still make me nervous...and I have these flash backs of me in the third grade...BOY CRAZY! Seriously I think I wrote (and received i will add) more of those notes with the check yes or no boxes that I care to remember! Anyway...I digress...today I picked Reese up from school, we were walking to the car and then she said..."I did not say bye to Hollis". She ran to the fence of the playground and yelled for Hollis...(this is where I wish I had had my camera with me). Hollis came running to the fence and reached his hand through the fence and grabbed Reese's hand. They both began to laugh and kind of tickle the others hand!
It was pure joy for both of them and I was grinning watching these two little people just love each other! Sorry for the long post, but come on...too cute!

Worth the time
The past few weeks at our church Andy Stanley has been giving a series called Balance. Basically it has been a challenge to look at how we live our lives mainly by looking at where our money goes! But beyond that Andy gives the challenge to live our lives with the thought process of: GIVE...SAVE...LIVE! Quite a different way that most of us do...I know my mindset most of the time is trying to make sure we have what we need to live...and what we want...then saving and giving!
So with that said...something that is close to my and Jason's heart is an organization called Compassion International! It is something that really is so small in the sense of what you give...but compared to what the give to that person...well watch this video and you will see. I promise it is worth your time! Let's be honest we all have a million things we need to do, but sometimes we need to take a moment and spend some time looking at something that might change our perspective! (from us to others) One thing for sure is that this is an organization we want our girls to grow up loving and being involved in and more than that...we want to start teaching them to have the mindset of giving first always! Here is the link again.

3 months!
Saturday was Hadley's 3 month birthday! I can't believe it...3 months have really flown by. She is such a joy around here. Hadley reminds me so much of Reese is scares me! She has begun to smile all the time when she is awake. She LOVES her big sister Reese...whenever Reese starts talking Hadley moves her head quickly trying to find her. She has started rolling on her side and is really trying to roll all of the way over. Here are a few pictures of our peanut!
A little fur for ya!
Sleeping on my side, trying to get on my tummy!
Quality time with daddy!
Spending time with my friend Bryson.
My new friend little Maggie (almost 2 weeks old here).

Perfect Timing
So, when Reese was 17 months she started telling us when she was going potty. Well, I had heard that when they express interest you should give a little potty encouragement (I know she was young). So, we bought a little potty and just put it out and told her it was there if she wanted to go potty and that was all we said. She started asking to go about once or twice every two days. She was doing great and I thought...wow she is totally going to be potty trained by the age of two! Well, as the last year has progressed she has continued to go more and more...but we were still far from being potty trained!
I had been in conflict because I would hear people say, "don't push them into going potty or they won't do it" or "don't miss the window to potty train them". So, we did a little of both, encouraging but not pushing too hard. Well, the end result:
SHE DID IT ON HER OWN!
The past few days Reese has been going to the potty on her own...TOTALLY! She gets up and says "don't help mommy", runs to the potty goes potty, washes her hands...the whole nine yards, all day long! I am so glad that she showed me the way to potty train...wait for them to be ready and give them some independence to do it themselves! We are so proud of her and it was perfect timing!
And now...I can't have a post without any pictures...here are some funny ones of Reese hugging and laughing with her buddy Addie Gail Brooks. It was so funny to watch.

Halloween and some Fall Fun
Last year for Halloween, we(Jason and I) went all out, this year only the girls got it together, but they were cute. We decided to skip trick or treating and just go to a Halloween party on Friday night. We stayed in on Saturday and watch Georgia and Florida play (sad day for me...happy for Jason) with Bethany and Steve.
Hadley in her flower costume...poor thing mommy zipped her up and then put her in her seat...not a good idea!Snow White and the Flower at the Halloween party
Snow White...Reese was on of four Snow Whites at the party...but she was the cutest redhead Snow white! Fro Daddy and the flower...we had ambitions of being the wicked queen and prince charming to go along with Snow White...but too short on time and costumes...so I was a hippy with the my flower child...and well, Jason was Will Ferrell from Semi Pro ... sorry you don't get the full picture with the shorts and everything.Snow White really enjoying a pumpkin cupcake...
REALLY ENJOYING IT!
I know...those of you who know me are shocked by this picture...me roasting hotdogs...I don't eat hotdogs! Well, these are technically turkey dogs and I'll do about anything for a outdoor fire with the family! We have a small firepit in the backyard so we roasted hotdogs and smores...and Ellie and Bailey waited for anything that dropped!YUM!And finally, to round out some of our fall fun...we did carve our pumpkin! Reese was so excited the whole time jumping and dancing as we carved the face...but she did not want to help clean it out...just wanted to eat the seeds when we baked them! We hope you are enjoyed fall as much as we are at the Beckner house! I am sad that Jason and I did not do well on our costumes this year...but we will work for next year...it was hard to come up with something after Kiss last year!
