Hadley's Dedication

Well, this little cutie had a big day on Sunday! At our church on Sunday Hadley was dedicated. We did this with Reese as well, and it really marks special days for our girls and for us! It is an opportunity for us to really talk through and be intentional with our parenting as we are acknowledging that we are asking and trusting God to be in control of Hadley's life!We ask our family and closest friends to come and share this day with Hadley and to pray with and for us as we strive to lead Hadley with Gods guidance!

I did not do a great job of taking pictures...but we had a photographer take some...so hopefully we will get those soon! Hadley did great...and acutally that morning they presented her in front of the church and she liked being in the spotlight! (not sure who she got that from?)

Do you like the Chicken Dance?

Hadley does, and well we think she may actually speak the language!

7 months and more

Oops...I kindof missed the boat a week ago on Hadley's 7 month mark...so here is catching you up! We are still working on getting her to like her green vegetables (green bean and peas) I can mix them with another veggie and she will eat ok...but by themselves still no success! She has started sitting up by herself...we have a few tumbles now and then (which may or may not be due to a very active 3 year old sister). Hadley still gives us lots of smiles, but we are learning early on that she already has a little bit of drama. I guess that is what you get with a house full of girls (poor Jason). Being silly in her seat....she does this all of the time!

Tagged!!

My friend Merritt just "tagged" me in this picture game so here goes...

Rules:
1) Open your first photo folder
2)Scroll to the 10th photo
3)Post the photo and the story behind it
4)Tag 5 or more people

I almost died laughing when this was the picture...sooo funny!

Ok...so we switched from our desktop to laptop awhile ago..so the pictures start when Reese was about 18 months old. This picture was from October of 2008...she was about 20 months...I had been getting out Halloween wigs for a costume for Jason and I. Then I decided it would be fun to put it on Reese...hilarious!

Now it's your turn...tag - Heidi, April, Rashel, Jen and Robin (Hey Jen and Robin...this picture reminds me of some wig swapping in college...remember?)

Look in the eyes

Just thought I would share a conversation from today...

Reese: Mommy can I look Hollis in the eyes and give him a kiss on the mouth?

Me: Um...well we probably should not be kissing anyone on the mouth right now so we don't spread germs...(all I could think of)

(sidenote...we are working on getting Reese to really look people in the eyes when she is talking to them for good manners...not sure where kissing came in)
