Life in Pictures

So, for those of you who have ever been in my house you know all too well how much I love pictures! I can't get enough of them...they are on our walls, tables, nightstands, bookshelves...ect! I do consider them to be a very inexpensive piece of artwork...but more than that they just give life for my house! I love looking around to see all of the people I love so much looking back at me!
With that said it is no surprise to say that I have been using photo sites for a few years now. There are too many to name...but I will say that the one I use the most is Shutterfly. I love printing pictures from them...great price and they ship right to you! (no going to a store and waiting while your pictures print). I also love their gifts...I have made photo coasters for us as well as given them to many of my family members as gifts! They are incredible! I will say that my favorite thing for sure is the photo books...I have started doing at least one a year to help document as our girls grow...and I am so glad that I have done it!

Finally, my main reason for writing about Shutterfly now is Christmas cards! I LOVE THEM! I love getting them and I love giving them. I think it is such a fun tradition that I hope never fades away...to get to see pictures of all those I love and do not get to see often is such a treat! We do cards every year...and this year is no exception! Shutterfly will be printing Christmas cards for us...and I love all of their designs and their prices too! I know that some people feel like they are a waste of money but for me I think it is a great excuse to put a few favorite pictures of family on your card and share with all of your loved ones! It seriously brightens my day every time I open a friend's Christmas card and I hope you feel the same way about ours!
I have been playing around on Shutterfly's card site and love some of these designs...how perfect
...love this...and for all of my newlywed friends! Try some out
So...hopefully you will be getting them soon...and hopefully we will too!

A little bit of irony I think

It was one of those moments...you know, the kind that you wish you could get on camera so you would not forget it...one like thisBeing outside with your family...watching your girls play with their daddy (loving every minute of it) and everyone laughing and enjoying the moment. But sadly, I will remember a moment similar to these in the pictures a little differently!

You see last Friday we were taking a family walk/run down our street. I was pushing Hadley in the stroller and Jason and Reese were running with each other...she was on his shoulders, on his back and just playing around! We were all laughing and I seriously said in my head, "Lord, don't let me forget this moment ...I love it...I wish I had my camera!"

Be careful what you wish for! It was not 30 seconds later...that I watched in horror as Jason and Reese crashed into the pavement...Reese face first! She started screaming...Hadley started crying...Jason was in shock and so was I! To leave out a lot...her face was covered in blood...but somehow once we got her cleaned up you could see that she still had all of her teeth...and just a very swollen/scratched up nose, face and lips.

The first 24 hours were the worst as far as appearance and pain...but honestly she was a trooper...Jason was more upset than she was! So...let's just say that I will for sure not forget that memory! I did not take pictures of her face on purpose...too cruel I think!

In an effort to take her mind off of everything...Jason took her to see Disney Princess Wishes on Ice the next day! I wish we had pictures...but according to both of them she loved every minute of it and sat with her mouth open the majority of the time!

So, naturally while Dad and sissy were at Disney Princess...Hadley and I went to the Samford University (my alma mater) homecoming game. Jason made a point to say that it was strange how he was watching Disney princesses and I was watching football...oh well!

Hadley and Aunt Audrey watching the game!
Some of the old crew...Chris, Audrey, Lindsay, Me and Hadley! We met up with Jason and a few others for dinner that night...it was our 10 year anniversary of graduating(Old we know)!
Cheers to memories...good and bad!
