"I dreamt about you..."

So, naptime for Reese is a staple in our house. She has always been a good sleeper and she still is. She still takes one nap a day, for about 2-3 hours, and she needs it! With that said, for about the past 6 months she has started to have one "problem nap" about once every 3 weeks. When I say "problem" I really mean she fights taking a nap. She will talk, and talk, and talk trying to not take a nap. But...mind you...she is tired...she just does not want to take one.

Today was that day and here is what I heard on the monitor during her nap (after about 45 mintues of going to the bathroom and needing this and that).

Reese: Mommy, I had a good nap (she has not slept at all at this point). (Again) Mommy, I had a good nap...(again and again and again)

Reese: Mommy, I dreamt about you...I dreamt about you, Mommy! (Are you kidding...flattery?)
I am so glad that she could not see me because I was dying laughing.

I continued to let her talk and repeat this for about 5 minutes...and then I heard

Reese: Gosh, this is taking forever! MOMMY, I HAD A GREAT NAP! (again...I was laughing but after that...I heard nothing and she passed out for two hours) - (and yes I am pretty sure she has heard me say that when we are in traffic).

6 Years!

Wow! Six years ago was seriously one of my favorite days! I got to marry this guy and I know (here comes the cheese) but I really am more in love with him now that I was then! When I look at these pictures I think how young we are but how different our lives and priorities are now than they were six years ago! Thankfully we are both still working to put our marriage first but we have two little additions who have made our marriage so much richer!

I can not even really remember our lives without these two!

This is one reason why I am even more in love with this guy...he is the best dad anyone could ever have! These two girls are in love with their daddy just like I am!

I am so grateful that Jason and I both have God as a centerpiece in our lives because I totally know that is the glue that keeps our marriage strong...so here is to praying for decades of anniversaries to come!

Welcome Baby Luke!

Luke William Alexander made his entrance yesterday and we had the privilege of meeting him today! He is adorable and so little...Katherine looks wonderful, Dan is a very proud daddy and James is the sweetest big brother! I love that one of my best friends has children so close to our girls ages...and I only pray they grow up being as close as we are!

I love these pictures...the two sisters with the two brothers! Crazy to think...that a little over 3 years ago none of these little ones were here!

I wish I had gotten a close up of little Luke so you could see how precious he is.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall...

Who has the Most DRAMA of them All?!

They say pictures are worth about a thousand words right?

Let's just say that Jason has had to be out of town quite a bit lately and for some reason the drama scale ramps up quite a bit when daddy is away!

Mini Vacay

This past weekend Jason and I took a quick trip to Knoxville, TN for my friend Amy's wedding. We took this as an opportunity for a mini vacation for us! The girls stayed with Bebe and had a blast! They painted, planted flowers, jumped on the trampoline and baked some bread!

This grin shows you how much she missed us! Too much fun with Bebe.
What happens to your hair when you jump all day on Bebe's trampoline!

Me, Ann, Amy (the Bride!), Merry Michael and Bethany at the wedding!
Jason and I at the wedding, we really enjoyed our little get-a-way! (Thank you Bebe)

8 Months

Today, Hadley turned 8 months old...WOW! So...here are 8 fun facts about our little one at this stage!

1) Hadley still loves to smile all of the time!
2) She is very curious (while I am holding her she will push around me to see who is behind us or what is going on)
3) We are 99.99999% sure that she is going to be another beautiful little redhead like her sister (which means even more conversations with people who are OBESSESSED with redheads!)

4) Hadley still only has her two bottom teeth (she got these at 5 months...and so far that is all)

5) She said Mama first! She started saying it at 6 months...but she has happily added Dada and a "hey" from time to time.

6) She holds her own bottle...and pretty much fights with you if you try to hold it.

7) She really does not seem interested in crawling...she sits up great and likes being on her tummy but she just pushes up, smiles and then rolls over!
8) Lastly...her best friend is still her sissy Reese!

Easter

Warning...lots of pictures on this one!!! We had a wonderful Easter full of family and lots of fun! This year, Reese really got into the Easter spirit and we talked with her alot about the real meaning behind Easter. We have some great Bible story cd's that she loves and the ones surrounding the Easter story are excellent...(I will post about them soon). She also really got into the egg hunt and we have realized how fast she is growing...looking at last year's pictures we almost couldn't believe it.
Our Easter celebrating started on Friday when the girls received an Easter package from Grandma Shirla complete with bunny ears! We had fun with these for awhile...Reese had fun taking them off and on and putting them on Hadley!

Poor child has no idea what is on her head!
This picture really does not do justice to this scene! This is an antique stroller that my mom has and Hadley looked so funny in it! Reese had a blast rolling her around (with supervision)!

Pop with Hadley and Reese (this is a position Reese has Hadley in quite often)...tight hug also know as a choke hold!
Reese spent lots of time getting some air on Bebe's trampoline! And this expression does perfect justice to her excitement!

Family Easter picture (sadly the best one we got)

Reese finding eggs (she found alot)
Sooo proud of all of her eggs!
(and if you look closely you can see the lovely pink stain from strawberries during Easter brunch...why I might be rethinking white Easter dresses from now on)
And finally, what do you do with Easter eggs when you are 7 months old?
