If at first you don't succeed...

Tri Tri Again! This year we made the trek once again to Charlotte, for the Ramblin Rose Triathlon! If you remember this post from last year...then you know how much I enjoyed this...so that is why I registered so early (knowing that it would be soon after Hadley was born...but I wanted some motivation). I had decided that I was going to go even if I could not do it...but my doctor said it was fine and I felt great! It truely was an amazing weekend with some amazing women! We stayed at a lakehouse together (with little Hadley in tow) and just had a great time...lots of laughter! The race was once again so fun...and such a great feeling of accomplishment! I can't wait for next year!

The whole Tri Chic group...including Pregnant Audrey (3 weeks away) as one of our cheerleaders and Joy who was 7 weeks pregnant and did the race! And I might add, like last year we had amazing shirts that Courtney and Audrey had made for us...everyone at the race was jealous!

And here was the youngest cheerleader...Hadley (7 weeks old) who was sad that she could not race! She did great all weekend...she even went to the movie with us on Saturday (she slept and just hung out)!

A complete thought...

a complete sentence, much less a complete conversation. What you might ask....oh just a few things that are rare in my life these days(or really for the past 2 1/2 years)! It just comes with the territory when you become a parent that you are now unable to have a complete conversation, sentence or thought! Come on...think about it...if you are a parent when was the last time (when your child/children were with you) that you were able to do any of those! Or...for those of you without children...think about the time you spend with your friends who have children, and I am sure you will agree that your friend is unable to really focus!

When Reese was first born I was so worried about every little thing that I could not focus on anyone or anything else. Now that she is 2 1/ 2 I am worried about all of the "anyones and anythings" she is going to bother or get into. Add in little 6 week old Hadley...and well my head is spinning a little. I know...I know...those of you with more children are like "you have no idea", but I am just saying...for me.

Now, don't get me wrong...all of that said I would not want all of the complete thoughts in the world if it meant I would not have these precious ones...Because when it comes down to it, I love my life (the good and the bad) and the biggest part of that is because of my amazing husband and these incredible little girls that light up my life!

A girl after my own heart...

Can you just see the pure excitement as my sweet Reese dances in celebration for the Bulldogs! Now she did not get to stay up for the real excitement...seeing UGA beat South Carolina...but she was cheering the Bulldogs on along with mommy as they made one of their many touchdowns!

Family Love

Those of you who know me well...you know my sweet, amazing grandmother Myrl! I am constantly in awe of her strength, love for the Lord, love for her family and just her amazingly gentle spirit! Hadley had the pleasure of meeting her for the first time and this is my favorite picture!
Another hero of mine...my amazing mother! Reese is just as in love with "Bebe" as I am and here is a picture of it! I seriously hope to grow up to be as amazing as my mother is!
One last picture...Ok...Reese looks so old here! These are her 2nd cousins (Alexis, Sara Beth and Samantha). Reese loved watching them and playing with them all afternoon.

Boys, boys, boys, boys, boyyyys

Come on...you know you are all singing the rest of the song now! Well this post is dedicated to my adorable daughter Reese and all of the boys....

So, this is how our first days at preschool have gone:

Day 1
Me: how was your day?
Reese: I had a great day (obviously repeating what I had said to her in the morning...have a great day)
Me: Who did you play with?
Reese: Miller...he's my best buddy
(so cute I have never heard her say best buddy about anyone)
Day 2
Me: What did you do today?
Reese: I ask Hollis (a boy) told hold me and he said yes! (grinning ear to ear)
Me: What? (not sure of what I heard)
Reese: (a little louder this time) I ask Hollis to hold me and he said yes! He's my best buddy!
Me: That's nice...so what about your other friends...Emma, Sara, Bailey (all girls)
Reese: No response
Day 3
Me: Did you have fun in chapel today?
Reese: Yes, we sing songs...I sat by Hollis (smiling)
Me: (at this point I am questioning if she is really only 2 1/2 or if she is in the 3rd grade) You sat by Hollis?
Reese: Yeah...he my bestest buddy!
Me: Did you sit by anyone else....
Reese: Hollis (now giving me a grin that seriously looks like she is in love with him! What)

Ok...I share all of this laughing because it is so cute...but honestly Jason and I think we have a little flirt on our hands...at 2 1/2! I am wondering if it is due to the cute little bob haircut she has now...
