Peas, Peas, Peas

Peas...I really don't like them. I can tolerate them when they are in fried rice or in a mixed vegetable dish, but I prefer to skip them! With that said, I was shocked when I began to introduce "solid food" (side note...not sure why they call it solid food when it is really mushed up fruits and veggies...anyways) to Reese. She LOVED peas. From the age of six months until present day at 3 years the child LOVES them. She eats them hot, cold, by themselves or with anything else! I was really excited that she loved them and really was an all together great eater...then I tried to give them to Hadley! I will say Hadley seems to eat everything else pretty well...but I think the green veggies may take awhile.

Warning...looks can be deceiving!
This little one gave me that cute little grin for about 20 minutes while I fed her spoonful after spoonful of fresh mashed peas! She would smile, open her mouth and then smile as she politely spit every last bit out! Literally after 20 minutes I still had a full bowl of pea mush!

I am so grateful that she smiled an laughed the whole time rather than crying...but I just thought for sure she would eat them up like Reese. I am not giving up yet!

A few more pics of our little Miss Hadley without peas!

Three Years Old!!!

Get ready for a LOT of pictures! Reese turned 3 yesterday and we had a lot of fun! I can not believe she is 3...and I can't believe I have turned into one of those people who talks about how fast time goes when you have children! Anyway, she is officially 3 and doing great! She is still off the charts in height and has had many of Jason's basketball friends asking if she is going to play or be a model! She still talks up a storm and is way too smart! She remembers everything which can be good and bad!
As far as her birthday goes we had a blast. We had it at a kids gymnastics center where Reese is going to take classes. The teachers did a great job taking Reese and 10 of her friends around to different areas like the obstacle course, trampoline, floor, and of course the foam pit! She was so excited when each of her friends came in and would give them a hug and lead them in (or drag them in) by their hands. Bebe, Pop and Ashley came in town for the weekend which made it even more fun!
On another note, Jason and I have decided that we will be taking up permanent residence in our cars as to make room for all of the new toys! Get ready for some pictures (out of order..sorry) and please notice Reese's prize present...her new leotard that she picked herself. Watch out Mary Lou Retton!

Guess Who's 6 months old?

Hadley! Seriously! Six months with Hadley has gone fast (well to be honest the first 6-8 weeks went very slow...lots of crying, but fast since then). Hadley loves to smile and still LOVES her sister Reese. Reese makes her laugh a lot and we have had multiple belly laughs watching Reese. Her first tooth is slowly coming out...I wonder if she will get the other one soon? What is crazy is that Reese got her first tooth at 25 weeks and so did Hadley! She is really working on being able to sit up on her own...she can go for a few seconds and then we do the slow slide down! We are enjoying every minute with her...and Reese has nicknamed her "Hads". We just started her on some vegetables this weekend...Sweet potato and Squash, and like her sister she loves every bite!
Bunny Love

(and I promise she does not wear these jail pj's all the time...it just seems it is what she is wearing when I take pictures)

Reese sliding Hadley in the Bumpo seat...Hadley is not too sure

This is a morning ritual...Reese always wants Hadley to come and sit with her in the "comfy" chair for awhile.

SOOOO happy!
