Look who we found

A month or so before Hadley was born I was walking through downtown Homewood and wandered into a new baby store, Swaddle. It was so cute so I went in just looking...as I got to the back of the store my eyes came across a display with the cutest baby on it...it was REESE! They carry the brand A Mother's Arms...which Reese was the first clothes model for back when she was about 5 months old. Anyway...I was so excited to see it (I had not seen a display with her picture...only on the website) and the lady in the store asked me if I knew the baby...I was like...Yeah...she's my baby!

So, with that said...I had to bring Reese back to see it...so this was this past weekend we went to the store. The funny thing was that when I asked Reese who the baby in the picture was, she said Hadley (which with the way things look now...Hadley will probably look just like that at 5 months). And if you check out the site A Mother's Arms, you will see all of Reese's pictures...but even better the clothes are great, so soft and the story behind the company is great.

Check out the picture above our heads! What a cutie!

Playdate!

Well, we are starting early this time...at a mere two hours old Miss Margaret Crew Brooks "Maggie" had her first playdate with your very own Hadley Grace! As you can see they are worn out from all of that playing! No seriously, today we met Maggie Brooks and she is precious! The Brooks' are some of Jason and my best friends and we were so excited for their baby #3 to make her debut in Birmingham! They already have a little boy Simon and a little girl Addie Gail (our goddaughter)...so Maggie makes three! We have all been awaiting her arrival...not knowing if she would be a girl or boy, they did not find out until today, and wow is she beautiful...like her mommy!
Two sleeping beauties soon to be best friends I am sure! It is hard to believe that almost 11 weeks ago Hadley was that small. Holding Maggie I almost could not even remember Hadley being that small...and it was just a few weeks ago!
Mom Audrey and her little one Maggie...Audrey looks fabulous as always! Audrey made the point today that it is funny that she had a longer baby than I did, it is funny considering I am about 7 inches taller then she is!

10 Weeks

Well, since the two month birthday came and went, I am going for the 10 week mark! Seriously, I can not believe that Hadley is already 10 weeks old! I think time might be flying by a bit faster than with Reese because I am chasing a 2 1/2 year old around at the same time!

Hadley is such a joy for us! She has changed so much and grown so much! She smiles all of the time and tries to talk...(we Beckner girls love to talk). Her neck is getting so strong...when she is having tummy time on her playmat or her changing table she picks her little head up and looks like a turtle! She LOVES her sister...Reese gets right up in her face and Hadley's eyes get huge and then she smiles and coos! She is almost the exact same size that Reese was at 10 weeks...just a little less than a pound smaller! She has started to notice so many things and she reacts to everyone's voices and sounds! I just can't get enough of her.
Tummy time on her mat sometimes turns to this...zzzz. And just like her sister did...she loves her playmat and smiles at all of the animals.
Bath time is very soothing to her, but she gets so mad when we take her out...she hates being cold even for a second.Trying to talk to mommy
Dressed up and ready to go...sadly I was trying to catch a smile...but I am too slowA new favorite thing Hadley has just discovered...the mobile in her bed...she will lie in there and grin and talk it.Finally, I caught a smile...she does it so much but I just can't quite get them on camera!
My favorite picture...Hadley Grace all bundled up since it has been in the 40's here this weekend. Also...this is an outfit that Reese wore and literally it freaked me out how much they look alike...I am going to try to find the picture of Reese and upload it so you can see for yourself!

Catching up and Settling down???

Well I have been taking lots of pictures...but I am realizing that I have not shared a lot of them...so I am trying to catch up now that (cross my fingers) I think I am finally settling into the mindset of having two children (wow is it work...hats off to all of you who have two and more).
Here are some pics from the past 6 weeks...fun with friends and funny stories too...you have to read about the fish!

To begin...a picture of my two sweet girls...this was taken last week.
My sweet sleeping Hadley...I wish she did this more at night. But even when she is up at 3 am I am reminding myself that she is only this small for a short amount of time and I want to enjoy every minute of it, tears and all.
To keep my sanity we make many trips to the park...friends help alot...we met Anna Brooke and Addie one day...the girls loved swinging.
Ok...I LOVE this picture...The whole Brooks clan came over and brought dinner a few weeks back and Reese had so much fun with Addie Gail and Simon. This picture just reminds me of how much fun just being a kid is!
My great friend Robin and her son Finn made a surprise visit the other week...it was a quick one but Reese, Hadley and I could not have been more excited. Sadly, Reese did not want her picture taken...only wiskers did. Reese and Finn had a blast and Robin scored big points with Reese by bringing her some lip gloss!
The Fish Story...this past weekend we went to the lake with our friends Rob and Edith and their children Isobel and Charlie. We had an incredible time...and we learned that Reese LOVES to fish! The boys caught lots of fish...they would take them off the hook and Reese would jump up and down as they flopped around and then she would pick them up carry them around (and stick her finger in their eye...sorry little fish) and then throw them back. She can not be my child! (I mean, I enjoyed fishing...but holding...no thank you)
Look how big she is getting...and so darn cute Giving sweet Hadley one of her first real baths...Hadley loved it and Reese loved helping.
And finally...one of my new favorite things the Bob double jogging stroller...and a reminder of how quickly time goes by...just look at what a difference 2 1/2 years makes!
