Ok...who are these people?

I thought I should start this rant with a little picture of my girl kissing little Hadley! Even though she gets tired of people talking about her sister that she can still not see...she loves her!

Warning!!! This may be found offensive to people who have no regard to personal space or thought! What am I talking about...those weird people who have no filter at all for people who are pregnant! I mean what is that all about...you would think that a girl being pregnant would acutally keep people's mouth shut...not open the floodgates for weird, stupid, rude and freaky comments. Allow me to give you a few examples:

1) "Girl you are getting biiiig!" - that coming from the sweet little CVS man who always checks me out(at the register)...yes I am in there about once a week...but listen here sweetie there is not a woman on this earth who wants to hear that....I guarantee you!

2) "So, have you started to swell alot?" Ok, so this from a friend or family member...totally fine...but from a random man in the grocergy store? I looked at him like he had lost his mind...obviously he did not understand that look and so he asked it again. To which I replied..."not really, only in my belly since that is where a baby is growing!!!!" I wanted to add a few more things but I held back...was one of those days!

3) "May I touch your belly?" I heard this so many times while I was pregnant with Reese and I was just amazed...I will say that at least they asked (there are those who don't and just go on in for a touch) but this lady asked while she started to rub my stomach...to which I responded by moving away from her quickly. I mean...what is the deal...do I come up to you and ask to touch your stomach...no....personal space people!

4) "I have a connection with your baby." I really don't even know what to say about this. Quite possibly the weridest thing that has ever happened to me. Here is the scene...Reese and I are at the mall...just finished a ride on the carousel...she is in the stroller and I am pushing her and a young girl (20's I would say) comes up to me, holds her hand out like stop sign (traffic cop) and says "could you hold on one sec". I stop out of confusion...she continues to hold her hand out towards my stomach and has her eyes closed. And then she says, "I just had a connection with your baby and she told me she was a girl", I said yes it is a girl and she says, "I know...I have a connection with your baby!" - I don't know what to say about that...but maybe I should try to find her now and see if she can connect with Hadley again and get her to come out!

5) Finally...tonight. I went to dinner with a bunch of my girlfriends...great time...then ran quickly to Publix on my way home. As I am checking out, the lady bagging my items begins to ask me about how I am feeling and when the baby is due. All fine....then I am pushing my buggy out of the store and that lady is standing by the door and proceeds to loudly say..."Girl you can't be looking all sexy like that when you are that pregnant....you're making the rest of us look bad!" I mean, I am sorry, but on so many levels that made me the most uncomfortable of anything! Weird, strange, wrong, scary....all of those words come to mind. I will be honest I only know one person that I want to hear that word from...and believe she is NOT that person!

Well, there you have it...I am sure that many of you have had things like this said to you...I just had to share and get it off my chest.
