Well, sadly as Reese and I watched part of the closing ceremonies of the Olympics on Sunday night...I realized that I was going to miss hearing Reese say "lympics" and of course our new favorite "nastics" also known as Gymnastics! I am sure like everyone else...our family has been glued to the TV for the last two weeks watching every event of the Olympics...even ones that I thought were a little strange...but none the less we cheered on our USA members! Reese really enjoyed the swimming, diving, running but Gymnastics takes the cake. The first night we watched as she began to immitate what the girls were doing on TV! I mean it was great. She would kick her leg out...pick her arms up...smile...pretend to do a roll or a turn. Watching her immitate them made me realize even more how much she watches everything I do and really everyone around her. All of that said, most days we have a 30 minute session of our own gymnastics. I get out my yoga mat, put Reese in her swimsuit, turn on some music and she goes to town. Sometimes she wants me to do stuff, but mainly it is the Reese show! Here are some pictures from this weekend...I was not fast enough to get some of the best moves! Watch out Nastia...Reese Kathryn is well on her way to her own GOLD medal!

We made a whirlwind trip to visit family this weekend and Reese was a trouper. Jason, Reese and I left on Thursday night to get to Atlanta to celebrate with my mom (Reese's Bebe) for her birthday. We then drove Friday morning to Greenville, SC to see my grandaddy Woodlief and then drove later in the day to Anderson, SC to stay at my Aunt Sabra and Uncle Charles' lakehouse and visit with cousins! Reese had her first swim in the lake and she really liked it, she is getting the swim stuff down! We went on a long boat ride and Reese took a quick nap on daddy as you can see. She played with her cousins (3rd cousins actually...I think) Wyatt, Elle, Gibson and little Virginia. We went back to Atlanta on Saturday morning and spent the rest of the weekend with my mom and Reese of course, was happy to be with her Bebe!

Great things for kids
First, we painted for about the 4th time and each time we do it...all I can think is how did my parents survive without washable paint? I mean seriously it is amazing how paint was all over the place and then with a quick minute of the swiffer (yes I love that thing) and some paper towels we are all as good as new. Honestly...if it was not washable I think Reese would only be painting when she was with other people! :) Washable paint is the best!
Secondly...water wings and the original aqua suit...I mean they are great. Since I love to swim and basically started very young I want Reese to do the same. So, we have been working with her on her kicking and stuff...but right now using the water wings and the aqua suit she can float and kick and swim by herself...she loves it and so do we.

We Started a Blog...
So...blogging not really my thing...honestly I used to think it was a little weird. I know...not fair but I just did not get it...but, by the persuasion of others and the reality that it really is a great way to keep friends and family up to date...we are in!
I mean don't expect anything great...other than the new pictures of Reese...but this could be fun right? The great thing is that this is totally optional...you can come and see the pictures and the updates if you want...but that is entirely up to you.
