Happy Halloween!!!

Tonight prooved to be one of those nights where as a parent the joy of watching your child enjoy something is so amazing! We spent the evening with some of our great friends, The Morrows, they have two children close in age to Reese and Hadley. We all ate dinner and then set out for some trick or treating! Watching Reese walk...I mean run from door to door...knock, say trick or treat...light up with the drop of each treat and then say thank you was so fun!
Miss Fancy Nancy herself...you can't tell from this picture...but we curled her hair, added sparkle to her cheeks, and painted her fingernails!
Hadley as the cutest poodle ever.. I was so proud of her keeping her "hat"
on for most of the night.
Technically she was Frenchy...Fancy Nancy's dog Top view
Hadley, Shelli, Ellie(I could eat her up in this cow outfit) and Reese
Reese and Graham(cutest farmer ever) ready to go in the wagon

Reese loving on Graham a little too much
Hadley watching Sissy go!

The poodle is pooped!
And if you have not read any of the Fancy Nancy books...you need to! We have been reading them since a little before Reese was two...and she loves them!

Tubes to the Rescue

This morning was early...We (Hadley and I) were up, dressed and in the car at 6:15 am! We headed over to Children's South so that Hadley could have tubes put in her ears. When I had Reese, I used to hear about tubes and pray Reese did not have to have them...while I am so glad Reese never needed them...I am SOOO GLAD that Hadley did get them this morning!

Hadley is so glad too...this was her right after having her vital signs done...she had the nurses wrapped around her fingers! Sadly things went a little south when she realized someone else was going to be pushing her in the cute little pink car to the operating room and Mommy would not be there!
Daddy and Reese met us there once Hadley went in for the procedure (around 8:15am)...this was Hadley after waking up from recovery, very tired and a little out of it.
All in all...it went great. It was a long morning...but like I said I think it will be worth it. Hadley has continued to have problems with her ears and when we went to the ENT he said it appeared that her ears were not draining at all. When he spoke with me after the tubes were in...he said (sorry if this grosses you out) that they drained a lot of fluid out of both ears...new and old! Yuck! He said that it was clear that her "ear anatomy" was not flowing well.

So, it went well...and she seemed to be great all day. She was tired for sure...but in a great mood otherwise! Three of the nurses, the doctor and the anesthesiologist were all very intrigued to find out if baby girl #3 will have red hair like her sisters! We will have to see...honestly, I think it will be weird in she doesn't.

My Girls

Whales, Horses, Cars and More

We had a jam packed weekend...so get ready for a lot of pictures! Jason was out of town for a bit so the girls and I packed up and went to Atlanta for 4 days! It is amazing how much you can fit it...and then wonder why you feel like you have been hit by a tornado!

I am seriously proud of this picture...this Beluga whale came up so close to Reese...the Belugas are her favorite thing at the Georgia Aquarium This was the first trip to the aquarium where Hadley really noticed the animals...but being this close to the glass was too much for her...when this fish came really close she burst into tears!
Always a hit in Atlanta...jumping high on Bebe's trampoline...her shadow is so fun in this picture
The girls had fun with Pop...Reese started calling him Poppy a little...not sure if he liked that...oh well!
On Saturday we headed out to Alpharetta to my grandmother's church for their Fall Festival and Ashley met us there

My uncle Wade, cousin Cooper, me, Hadley, Bebe, Reese and my beautiful grandmother Myrl

Two sisters and two sisters
A new treat for us when we go to Alpharetta...we get to see Bethany (Aunt B) and she lives right by Myrl and the church so she met us at the festival!

ALERT...WEEKEND HIGH...ANIMALS!
Reese would have stayed in this pin with all of these animals all day if we had let her. It was so crazy...(i.e. doves riding around on a sheep's back) there were sheep, goats, llamas, a huge snake, rabbits, turtles, roosters, ducks and doves all in the same pin.
She is in love

On a side note...you could not pay me enough money to put a bird on my head!
Free Falling!Loving the horse back rides

Well...not loving it so much (she truly is so much like me)

Hold up there hot rod!
Hadley and uncle Wade

And for our parting farewell...look closely at the bloomers...GO DAWGS! All I can say is that it is so nice to be in Atlanta during football season and hear Go Dawgs all day...rather than roll tide...sorry but just saying! And GO Dawgs...thank the Lord 2 wins in a row...it is about time!

The monkey and the ballerina

The Monkey--AKA--my little Hadley

Seriously, I have a friend who used to tell me stories about her daughter that started climbing on everything (drawers, chairs, tables, walls) when she was really little! It blew my mind because Reese was never a climber and I was a little relieved about that to be honest.

Well...here comes child number TWO! Hadley is a monkey...before she even turned one she started to climb into the dishwasher and into bottom drawers. Now we are onto tables and chairs.

We were in the kitchen, while I was making dinner, I turned around and found this

Way too proud of herself...but because I was afraid she would fall, (she kept standing up), I turned her around in the chair so she was facing the table...

Bad idea...facing the table she them climbed right on top of it!! Now it is all she wants to do!
The Ballerina--AKA--my sweet Reese
Reese started ballet about 4 weeks ago and she loves it. This week was her 4th lesson and her teacher invited the parents to come and watch for the last 15 minutes of class. I was so excited...I think I had a permanent grin the entire time!

The girls sat in a circle and then they each took turns getting up and then they had to first gallop around the circle with their arms in position. I could eat her up in this outfit...too cute!Next we went to skipping...this was hard for all of them, but Reese actually did do it...very methodically but she did it!
Time for Sashays...she was great
And of course a little personality for the camera!

Green Acres is the place to be

Farm livin' is the life for me! Now seriously, you know me better than that....but for a day we really enjoyed being at Old Baker Farm (just 45 minutes from us). We got there right when it opened and stayed for a few hours. The weather was incredible and we soaked up some Fall farm activities.
First ride on a tractor
A trailer full of cotton for kids to play in...who comes up with this stuff?

Peeking out of the corn maze
A tight squeeze on the hay mountain
How do you beat your daddy in the corn cobb toss? Just walk right up and put it in the hole! I told you, she is smart (or a cheater some would say)
Hadley was intrigued and scared by the large turkey...so was mommy

Watching the horses

Reese so badly wanted to get in the fence with this calf

Getting to help feed the calf was even better!
Hadley walking around some pumpkins
So proud of herself!Mommy with the girls on the hayrideDaddy and the girlsI think we touched every pumpkin in the patch before Reese found hers
The prized possession

HAPPY FALL!
